Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How long does treatment usually last?
The duration of care depends on the complexity of your case. While some individuals see noticeable changes quickly, others — especially those with chronic or layered conditions — may benefit from ongoing support over several months to a year or longer. Each plan is paced to match your body’s unique healing process.
Do you work with adults as well as children?
Yes! While I specialize in pediatric and neurodevelopmental care, I also support adults with chronic illness, trauma, or complex health concerns.
Do you prescribe medications?
While medication is not my primary treatment approach, many clients are able to reduce or avoid pharmaceutical use with my methods. However, I am licensed to prescribe in Washington State and will do so if necessary. As a naturopathic doctor and homeopath, I take pride in helping clients achieve better health through natural and holistic interventions whenever possible.
How do I get my homeopathic remedies?
Clients will have access to a private online homeopathic dispensary, which will conveniently ship remedies directly to your home. The dispensary is highly efficient, and most remedies arrive within five days. Expedited and overnight shipping options are also available for an additional fee.
For acute cases, I maintain a small in-office homeopathic dispensary, which I use as needed during urgent appointments. However, since the majority of cases I treat involve chronic conditions, the online dispensary is the preferred and most effective option.
Why isn’t homeopathy FDA-approved?
Homeopathic remedies are regulated by the FDA, but they are not approved in the same way pharmaceutical drugs are. Here's why:
Different classification: Homeopathy is considered a category of over-the-counter medicine under the FDA’s regulatory framework. Remedies are required to meet standards for safety, purity, and labeling.
Individualized approach: Unlike pharmaceuticals, which are tested for single conditions using standardized doses, homeopathy is tailored to the whole person: mental, emotional, and physical symptoms included. This individualized approach doesn’t fit into the FDA’s traditional drug approval model.
Natural, ultra-diluted remedies: Homeopathic medicines are made from natural substances in extremely high dilutions, making them safe and non-toxic. Because of this, they don’t require the same level of scrutiny as drugs that carry potential side effects or toxicity.
Global use & historical safety: Homeopathy has been used successfully for over 200 years and is integrated into healthcare systems in many countries including India, the UK, and Germany. Its safety record is well established.
Though not “FDA-approved” like a prescription drug, homeopathy is FDA-regulated and trusted by millions worldwide for its safe, effective, and individualized approach to healing.
Do you offer in-person appointments?
Yes! I would love to see you at our office in Lynnwood, WA.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes! We offer virtual consultations via phone and a HIPAA-secure video platform. If you choose a virtual consultation, you will receive a link in your confirmation email to join the video call.
Is there a difference between in-person and virtual consultations?
Ultimately, it is a matter of client preference. In my experience, virtual consultations are just as effective and often more accessible. For virtual visits, I may request videos or pictures to gather additional information.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not bill insurance for our services. However, upon request, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. When applicable, we also strive to use your insurance for lab tests and medications.
Do you draw labs in-office?
We understand that blood draws can be intimidating, so we aim to make the process as comfortable as possible. Rather than drawing labs in-office, we partner with a mobile phlebotomist who can perform the blood draw in the comfort of your home. Additionally, whenever possible, we opt for less invasive testing methods such as salivary, urine, hair, or stool kits, which can be sent directly to your home for easy collection.
Does my child need to be present for the visit?
Your child does not need to be present for the first visit. However, we ask that they are present for at least 10 minutes within the first two visits. If this is not possible, I may request videos or pictures to gather additional information.
We want to ensure we obtain a thorough and accurate understanding of your child’s symptoms while creating a safe and supportive space. If you feel comfortable discussing their symptoms in their presence, they are welcome to attend as much of the visit as they are willing. If their presence would hinder open discussion, we recommend they not attend the initial visit.
